Nepean FC is proud to officially launch our Men’s Senior Program for the 2026 season, with both our 1st Grade and Under 20s squads set to begin an exciting campaign built on development, connection and the Nepean FC identity.
This year’s program is shaping as one of the most exciting in recent years — a young, hungry squad featuring a mix of emerging talent and established senior leaders who continue to drive standards across the club.
Men’s 1st Grade Coach Allan McCarlie said the group has been intentionally built around local talent and players with strong connections to the club.
“We’ve built a squad, made up almost entirely of local lads or players who have represented the club at youth level.”
A key highlight for 2026 has been the promotion of a strong group of players from last year’s successful U20s program — continuing Nepean FC’s commitment to pathways and giving local juniors the opportunity to progress into senior football.
“We’ve retained a core group of senior players, and we’ve promoted a large group of last year’s Under 20s league winning squad.”
The strength of the Nepean region and the quality of local football talent is reflected heavily throughout the senior squad.
“Over 80% of the first grade squad played grassroots or youth level football in the Nepean area.”

Our coaching and football operations staff have worked closely through the pre-season to ensure both squads are aligned and prepared — with a clear emphasis on shared principles, consistent training standards, and building a strong connection between the U20s pathway and the Senior program.
With the culture and energy around the group already strong, the program has had a positive and productive pre-season.
“The banter in and around the group is brilliant, we’ve had a good preseason and we are looking forward to starting our campaign.”
Season begins away to South Coast Flame FC
The 2026 season kicks off this weekend with an exciting opening round away fixture against South Coast Flame FC — a strong early test and a great opportunity to set the tone for the season ahead.
“We are ready for Round 1 on Saturday.”
